This photo was taken on an early morning walk through the city of Manarola, Cinque Terre. The end of September is typically the off season, but recently the crowds have been staying through October. While the cities were crowded during the day, mornings and evenings were calm. I wandered to this scenic spot to shoot this view and while there, I had a simple conversation in Italian with a man about how beautiful and serene the morning was. It’s moments of connection like this one that make me love traveling even more.

This print was shot on a Nikon F3 on 35mm fuji 200 film. There is a soft grain and charm to the image.
