The Mùlafossur waterfall was the first place we visited after we landed in the Faroe Islands. I had seen in online for year and was always in awe that a place this beautiful existed - I actually think it was the place that first inspired me to visit the country. When you drive up, you can see the quaint city above the waterfall, but can’t really see the grandeur of the place until you walk down a small path to a lookout - suddenly you are gazing upon a huge cliff with a waterfall cascading into the ocean below. The sunset colors were the perfect addition to such a stunning place. We stayed for a long time just in awe and being so thankful we had made the trip to see this spot in person.
