There are some days when I just need to go out and shoot. Days when I need to photograph something I want, that isn't for money or for any other intention than just I love using my camera. One of my favorite things to photograph is fashion + one of my favorite times to shoot is right before the sun goes down (which, I am sure, is a lot of photographers favorite time). My beautiful friend, Lauren, volunteered her closet and modeling skills to walk around for a little while, while I got my fix. She always makes me laugh and I love getting to use this time to get to know her. Whenever I photograph people, I like to be intentional about the time I get to spend with them. I love being able to ask questions in order to take their mind off of the fact that there is a camera in their face. Seeing as I am quite the introvert, photo shoots are a good way to get to know people that I may not get to spend a lot of time with or pushes me to meet new people.
Side note: on this shoot we stumbled upon this wonderful black wall on the east side, which I can promise will make another appearance on my blog.
