I love seeing other people's creative spaces - I love seeing what they are inspired by, whether its neat or cluttered, clean walls or filled with pictures. So, I decided to share a little of what mine looks like. It has been extremely important for my photography career to have a space of my own that I feel comfortable in, while editing for hours. My little apartment is not filled with much, but when I first moved in, I made it a point to decorate this room, even if it was the only one that I did for a while. It isn't perfect, heck, it isn't even clean most of the time. I instagram little snippets of this room, mostly after I have rearranged things in order for it to appear clean, but I wanted to share pictures from the space that I feel most at home in. I don't really post too many personal things on here, so I thought I would give it a shot.
It's really easy for us to compare our lives to others on social media - i have for sure been there. But it has been important for me to remember that their lives aren't that and they are probably just as me messy as I am. I think that if I remind myself that other people are also just sharing the prettier parts of their lives on instagram + Facebook, its easier for me to be happy for them or inspired, rather than envious or jealous. So here is it, its all its humble glory, the Katie Jameson Photography office space!
